Paul Anderson is a Geophysical Manager with Oxy supporting Midland, Permian EOR, Rockies and Low Carbon Ventures teams. A native Calgarian, he graduated from the University of Calgary with B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geophysics and started his career in industry with Veritas DGC in 1998 working on QI projects worldwide. In 2006, Paul joined Apache, where he worked in both Canada and Australia with seismic data processing, interpretation, inversion studies, development drilling, microseismic, seismicity and EOR studies. In 2015, Paul moved to Plano, Texas to work with Denbury resources on their CO2 and waterflood fields, working with both seismic and non-seismic methods. In 2017, Paul joined Oxy, initially in the International Appraisal team working on Middle East projects, later moving to EOR & LCV before moving into technical management. Paul has been a member of the SEG since 1998 and has served on several formal and informal committees and teams within SEG.
