(Apologies for not including this information in the previous email.)

Randy (Randolph Peter) Luckiw was born on September 5, 1963 in Drumheller, Alberta.  He was the light of his mother’s life.  Randy was a big brother to his two sisters, Susan and Jodi.

Randy married the love of his life, Caroline, in 1996.  They welcomed three beautiful girls, Georgia, Samantha and Vivian, whom Randy adored.  Randy took great pride in being a “girl dad”.

He pursued a career in the oil and gas industry focusing on seismic.  From the start, he was the international man of mystery as he travelled the globe pursuing his career.  Wherever he went, Randy made life-long connections and friendships. Randy had a knack for finding the best little pubs all over the globe.  Although he held many positions within the industry, he excelled at sales, partly due to his easy going and agreeable personality.

Randy’s career took him and his family to Denver, Colorado where he continued to be a well-known part in the oil and gas industry.  Most recently, he was associated with the Colorado School of Mines and the Denver Geophysical Society.

Randy was an enthusiastic and outgoing guy.  He belonged to golf leagues and curling teams.  At the age of 59, he achieved his black belt in karate, something he was very proud of.

Randy would travel anywhere in the world for a good concert, particularly Pink Floyd.  He was always up for good music with good friends from the local pub to the largest stadiums.  Anyone that knew him, loved him.

Randy passed away on September 29, 2024.  As tragic as Randy’s sudden passing was, he was able to save lives and bring hope to other families through the Organ Donor Alliance.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife Caroline and his three precious daughters, Georgia, Samantha, and Vivian.

New developments and expansion into evolving fields such as CCUS, geothermal, helium, or engineering geophysics will be of great interest.

We love an interesting story and are always looking for case studies!
